angli-EAR Hearing’s Balance and Vestibular Assessments diagnose the causes of your dizziness, vertigo and/or imbalance and unsteadiness to provide solutions and reduce the symptoms.

Our expert Audiologists and Vestibular Physiotherapists specialise in the assessment and treatment of balance and vestibular problems.

If left undiagnosed and untreated, balance and vestibular symptoms can result in worsening unsteadiness, and an increased risk of falls and injury. It may also create anxiety over worsening symptoms, worrying about potentially falling resulting in loss of confidence, inactivity, and a loss of independence.

Everyday tasks such as getting out of a chair, carrying shopping bags whilst walking or standing on tip-toes to reach an object all require good balance. Your brain uses information from your senses to help keep you upright. It helps to keep your eyes and vision steady when you turn your head and quickly corrects imbalances in your posture by adapting your body to changes as you move.

Kirstie is an approved wax removal specialist and trained to perform endoscopic wax removal, including e-suction. Kirstie joined angli-EAR Hearing looking for a new challenge but having worked in healthcare for more than 15 years (private, NHS and community) she knew looking after patient care had to remain a key component of her role. This new challenge brings learning opportunities and is currently undertaking her Hearing Care Assistant qualification so she can have a much broader knowledge to help more people.

Kirstie lives in Cambridge and has a passion for horticulture. Kirstie loves house plants – she has 50 and counting so spotting her at home might be difficult. This passion for plants extends to her garden where she grows flowers and vegetables. We are hoping she has a bumper crop which she is able to share with her colleagues.

When her green fingers aren’t busy Kirstie will be out walking her dog, reading a book or enjoying live music at a local event. Being a dog owner isn’t a requirement for working at angli-EAR Hearing but loving a Golden Retriever kiss is essential.
